Resource central projects
Resource Central provides this collection of stable, supported projects.
- Apache authentication
An Apache module that enables Windows Integrated authentication and authorization; allows access control by username, group and organizational unit. - DB2 Security Plugin
A Security plugin for DB2 8.2 that allows LAM/PAM authentication. - Dynamic DNS
Scripts for updating a host's IP address in DNS after joining an AD domain - Kerberized Apps
Kerberized Apps are legacy applications from the Heimdal project, modified to work with Quest Authentication Services and packed for supported platforms. They include TELNET, FTP, RSH/RCMD and their servers. - OpenSSH
This is a derivative of the OpenSSH Portable project, which provides secure, remote login and file transfer. This derivative packages OpenSSH for use with the Quest Authentication Services libraries, making configuration easy. - PuTTY
PuTTY is an ssh client package for Windows. Using PuTTY and Quest Authentication Services-enabled sshd on a Unix server allows you to have single sign on access to Unix accounts. This project enhances PuTTY with GSSAPI-with-MIC (Active Directory single-sign-on) support. - Identity Mapper
Quest ID Mapper (vasidmap) provides Samba servers with accurate identity information for Unix-enabled Active Directory users to ensure proper file system access controls for Samba servers that are joined to an Active Directory domain. Vasidmap plugs into Samba's idmap interface, resolving queries for user security information by using Quest Authentication Services' Active Directory connections and caches. vasidmap should be used with all installations of Samba where is installed -- especially for servers using Quest Authentication Services's Unix personality management feature. - Sudo
Quest Authentication Services and the open source tool sudo work together to implement administrative groups with root level access for UNIX, managed via Active Directory.
