VAS-SAMBA-CONFIG(1) VAS-SAMBA-CONFIG(1)
NAME
vas-samba-config - Configures Samba to interoperate with VAS
SYNOPSIS
vas-samba-config [-dfnqV] [-s smb.conf] [-S samba-prefix]
DESCRIPTION
The vas-samba-config script configures Samba and VAS for authentication
and SID identity alignment with vasidmapd.
OPTIONS
-d Debug. Information useful for development is displayed while
the script runs.
-f Force. The script will assume the default answers to questions
without prompting.
-n No-restart servers. Normally, vas-samba-config will cause the
Samba server to be restarted after it is reconfigured. Specify-
ing this flag will prevent this behaviour.
-q Quiet. Suppresses informational messages.
-s smb.conf
Specifies the location of the smb.conf file to configure. If
not supplied, vas-samba-config uses the default configuration
file from the discovered smbd binary.
-S samba-prefix
The path prefix used to locate the smbd server executable,
namely samba-prefix/smbd. If not specified, then vas-samba-con-
fig searches in likely places.
-V Version. The script prints its version number and immediately
exits.
